On Some Reactions to the Lack of Reaction to the Shooting Dead of Daniel Shavers

In the USA, there is this recurring theme in the white community every time a video is released that shows a white man, or woman, die at the hands of the police under circumstances similar to what we have become accustomed to with blacks and browns. I have in mind instances when the victim was fully complying with the cops, had their hands up or were already handcuffed but still got shot to death, or were throttled.

What these people think the reason reports of whites killed unjustly don't hit mainstream media headlines like police brutality against blacks is that there is bias against white people in  the media. This view shows a complete misunderstanding of how this system works.

The fact of the matter is the ruling elite fear their white subjects more than they do minorities. Because of this, the powers that be have reserved a method of oppressing the majority that's different from the one they use on black and brown people, and keeping reports that show they can be treated the same as blacks in the system away from them is one of these ways. In fact, using divide and conquer tactics, they make the majority hate minorities by deliberately vilifying, dehumanizing and criminalizing them, then they set the majority  loose on the minorities knowing they will control them on the basis of the bias and prejudice they have internalized.

If you don't believe me, then ask yourself this: do you really think the ruling elite would last if they regularly showed live scenes of white people getting shot daily with their hands up, as regularly as they show blacks and browns getting murdered? White people demonstrated the lock down recently. JUST THE LOCKDOWN! It got on their nerves and they grabbed their guns to protest. The armed protestors were left alone by the police. The cops, as indeed politicians, behaved themselves like they are supposed to when one is exercising a right. What would white people eventually do if they were choked and shot daily on TV for doing nothing or merely exercising their rights?

You see, open displays of blacks being shot up and down the streets with the killers and murderer cops going free is how blacks are forced in line. It's the same tactics as the slave patrols, of which the cops are a product, used to keep enslaved Africans in fear. This is how blacks were controlled in the past. This is how this minority is still being controlled today.

This method of control is challenged when whites join black protestors en masse because, for the elite, overt violence against whites is a no no. Whites have been given privilege, you know? White people believe they own the enterprise. They believe, for the most part, that they are free. Whites are in a bigger cocoon with regards the true nature of the system than minorities. It may not be personal for whites when they get brutalized while showing solidarity for blacks, but it could get personal accidentally if the police overstep their bounds, if they go too far and show white folk what their status in the system really is. This is the risk that the system cannot take.

This is awareness those white folk who keep complaining nobody cares about their welfare need to possess if we are all going to get out of the chains that bind us sooner.
